- Catalogues over about 300 products or from other platforms, which are quoted after we see the export
What we need from you first
- Which platform and version you are leaving, and the number of products and variants
- The first ten rows of the export, with prices and customer data removed if any
- Your launch date and which launch checks you want
- Whether you sell through a product feed to a shopping channel
- Whether stock is kept in step with another system
Never send passwords, keys, customer records or confidential code in the first enquiry. Secure handover is agreed after scoping.
How we check it is done
- The live Shopify store has the same number of products and variants as the source, apart from items you chose to exclude
- Twenty sampled products, including every product with options, match the source in title, options, SKU, price and image count
- The redirect results you recorded for the agreed old addresses show the intended new product each time
- Each optional launch check you chose has a recorded result
You accept each result, or send it back with comments, and then you accept the finished catalogue move.
When we would stop or decline
- The catalogue is much larger than 300 products or uses custom fields we cannot map without a design decision
- Most products need more than three options and nobody can decide how to handle them
- The export has no product codes and cannot be matched to anything
- You need a launch date that cannot allow a test import and a post-import comparison
Questions
Will you import into my live Shopify store?
No. You run the live import. We send the files and steps, and compare the result with the source afterwards.
Can you guarantee my search ranking?
No. We provide a redirect file and a way to check the most visited old addresses. We do not promise any ranking result.
What about customers and orders?
They are outside this project. Shopify moves them by different routes, which we can scope separately.
Price and terms
From £1,500 · untested offer price. The payment schedule is set in the written proposal. Nothing is charged until you have agreed it.
